Wincanton Town Twinning

Cover Description
The envelope bears the drawing of the Discworld with the Great A’Tuin in green created by Paul Kidby in the bottom left hand corner and the Ankh-Morpork Wincanton Consulate frank in the bottom right corner.
The five stamps on the envelope are the 2002 Christmas issue. They were cancelled by hand at the Wincanton Post office on 7th December 2002.

Notes
This cover predates the creation of Going Postal and Discworld stamps. The covers were created to raise money to build a craft workshop for the disabled at the Balsam Centre in Wincanton.
The envelopes were franked at the Wincanton Post Office who’s idea it was, without actually going through the postal service.
The artwork is by Paul Kidby
