Proof Sheets
Proof sheets were the traditional way of submitting new stamp designs for approval.
Only a small selection of the issued stamps have featured on proof sheets.
Some sheets were made available for sale but many were offered through the journal, either as a subscriber offer or as a competition prize.
The final proof sheet, featuring the Bloodaxe and Hammer Four Pence, was issued in 2013.
