Announcement:
Since its publication in October 1906, Rudyard Kipling’s book ’Puck of Pook’s Hill’ has enthralled generations of children.
Children of all ages mind; age is no impediment to the wonders of childhood when reading a good book, and certainly not one written by such a master story teller as Rudyard Kipling.
Kipling wrote this book overlooking the South Downs. Any one who has walked their measure cannot but be moved by the landscape and the story it tells.
It is the landscape as well as the tale that Kipling wrote which have formed the inspiration for this cover’s design which shows Kipling overlooking the Downs and a rendition of Puck by Jane Debney, with a special Pook stamp and Kipling postmark..
Each cover comes with a signed and numbered certificate.
The special postal covers have been produced for the benefit of the Kipling Society, who will receive 50% of the profit.
